Dublin Park

The girls finally enjoyed swinging! The third time's a charm, I guess! Having Geema there to cheer them on probably helped, too!

Talladega, is there anything else to say??

On the way home from Atlanta, we always pass the infamous Talladega. Key word PASS. This time Wes REALLY wanted to stop and see the track up close and go thru the museum, so I gave in :) Not my idea of the perfect way to spend a day, but we tagged along like good sports (until the girls decided they were starving and had had enough of sitting in their car seats and then their strollers) and it really was more interesting than I thought it would be. Wes was in heaven, hence the pictures...

Easter then and now

What a difference a year makes! Where did our babies go? Special thanks to Geema for making the beautiful coordinating Easter dresses for the girls this year (sorry, I wasn't talented enough to get the matching ribbon in their hair).

Easter in Atlanta

We flew out of Atlanta to get to Florida, so we decided to stay in Atlanta for Easter and celebrate with Wes's family. We experienced an incredible church service at Perimeter church and had a fabulous brunch at one of my favorite places, South City Kitchen. The girls LOVE their cousin and it is always so much fun to spend time with Mimi and KayKay and Ben and Joni. Notice the belly shot, we couldn't resist... Joni is due with baby #2 a month after we have baby #3. The cousins will be close in age again! Yeah!

Spring Break in Florida with Nana and Papa

The playground and pool were so much fun!! Sitting outside for dinner with Nana and Papa was something we had never done, and helped keep us distracted and occupied while the adults had a nice dinner. Nana's mom, Lu, made us homemade biscotti, what a special treat!!!

Spring is here!!!!

Well, thanks to the hard work of my dad, my energizer bunny granny, and my hubby...

We have flowers popping up in our front yard!!! I am so excited to see all of the color they bring to our construction site of a neighborhood!

In September, my Dad worked ALL day to put in a flower bed in front of our house. He had to dig up sod and he even moved the uprooted sod to the backyard so we have a bit more grass to stand on back there. He did a great job of planting some bushes and other green plants and mulching and adding the finishing touch of a scalloped cedar border. It looks great!!

Then in October, while I was out of commision in first trimester pregnancy...Wes and my Granny planted 100 (count them 100!!) assorted bulbs in the midst of the bushes and green plants my Dad had planted. I really didn't think we could get all 100 of them in that one bed, but we did!! The nice thing about this assortment is that the flowers come up at all different times of the spring and summer so we will have pretty things to look at for months on end! And they will come back next year (hopefully) without me having to do much work at all!! We will have tulips, irises, crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, alpine whites and I forget what else. I can't wait!! Here are the first few signs of spring in our Alabama yard.

Recent Pics

I thought I'd catch up and post a few pics from the last month or so...

Visiting cousin Shannon, the future lawyer, in Nashville while Daddy attended a football conference. I think I have a picture of ME holding Shannon when she was about this age, how time flies!

Our first visit to Moe's in Huntsville...coupled with our first cheese quesadilla, yummy!

Mama gave me bangs! Aren't I cute?

I come running as soon as I see the camera!
